Things To Do

Welcome to a great base for your night away in Cornwall. Our bed and breakfast in the heart of the Wadebridge area offers the perfect blend of countryside tranquillity and access to a host of activities. Whether you’re looking for walks, scenic places of interest or just a relaxing stay-away, you’ll find plenty to enjoy.

Scenic Walks & Cycle Trails

One of the most popular routes for our guests is the Camel Trail. This mostly traffic-free route runs from Wadebridge out towards the coast and Bodmin, following the peaceful banks of the River Camel. You can cycle or stroll with ease and take in the Cornish countryside views.

For example, the section from Wadebridge to Padstow (about 5½ miles) is very manageable and makes for a lovely half-day excursion. If you prefer something gentler, explore the riverside paths within and just outside town, soaking up the lush woodland and estuary views.

Coast & Countryside Escapes

Just a short drive from the guest house, you’ll find the dramatic north Cornish coast. Whether it’s a relaxed beach day or a more adventurous outing, the coast is at your fingertips. Wadebridge is only 8 miles from the coast and offers a superb base. You might head toward the surf, explore hidden coves, or go for a cliff-edge walk on the famous South West Coast Path.

Local Family Activities

If you’re staying with family or looking for something a little more lively, the Camel Creek Adventure Park just outside Wadebridge is ideal: a fun indoor and outdoor adventure park with rides, soft-play, and seasonal events.

Also in the vicinity, you’ll find the lively market town centre of Wadebridge, full of independent shops, cafés and friendly pubs – perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening out.

Places of Interest & Heritage

For history and local culture, spend some time in town or nearby:

  • Visit the charming market town of Wadebridge itself – once connected by rail and now a hub for exploring north Cornwall.
  • Take a short excursion to the estuary or explore the old trade and river history of the area – the river has played an important role in the town’s past.
  • Check out the annual event at the Royal Cornwall Show, held near Wadebridge, if your stay coincides with it – a lively agricultural and craft show that brings the area to life.
